Schools are exceptionally busy and complex organisations, requiring a great deal of time, energy and skill from individual leaders and senior teams. In particular, the role of the Headteacher, with its associated accountabilities, can be as daunting as it is demanding. Consequently, many leaders find themselves, all too often, dictated to by the tyranny of the urgent, with little or no time to reflect and reconnect with their leadership values and strategic vision.

If left unchecked, leaders at every level will begin to experience a drop in their performance as drive and determination dissipate into a sense of drudgery and, at worst, despair.

 

Coaching ensures that leaders have dedicated time and space to pause from the daily demands and refocus on 'why' they do what they do. It also explores 'how' they can better manage their personal and professional demands to ensure they feel empowered, energised, and fulfilled.

John's bespoke coaching programmes are built around the needs of individual leaders and teams. They usually consist of an agreed number of one-hour sessions, which can be adjusted to suit the school and their particular circumstances.
